The second event that I chose to photograph for the Together Festival was the DJ Agoria, presented by Soundscape at Naga in Cambridge. I picked this show because while I am not a tremendous fan of house music, I enjoyed the variety and style that Agoria has in his sets.
A friend and co-worker, Nick Minieri, runs the website Beantown Boogiedown (website: http://www.beantownboogiedown.com/ / Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/beantownboogiedown) that covers dance and electronic music, events, concerts, happenings, etc… in and around Boston. Through his work in this area he got involved with the Together Festival (http://togetherboston.com/).
This past weekend took me to West Newbury to photograph a very nice house at the top of a hill on Coffin Street. The house sits alone at the end of a beautiful driveway and overlooks the forests and hills of the town.
I had my first ever engagement session this past weekend. The couple are huge Red Sox fans and wanted that to be the theme of the shoot. One of them has a relative who works for the Portland Sea Dogs organization so we were able to get access to the field, dugout and stands ahead of Sunday’s game against the New Britain Rock Cats.
I recently did a photo shoot for a co-worker in Boston’s North End. Having grown up and lived in fairly rural areas for most of my life, I have never had the experience of living in a compact, urban setting. Janene, on the other hand, grew up in San Francisco, has lived in New York and Boston and is very comfortable in smaller spaces.
